Planning to go back to Bangkok in December and stay in the Ko Ratanikasin/Banglamphu area. I'll be there for 29 nights, and am considering a number of accommodations and am wondering what experiences anyone has had to comment or not commend any particular place. I stayed at Bhimann Inn the last time and loved their staff but given the decrease in the dollar against the baht am considering less expensive options (not that they are expensive). In particular, am considering (and am still considering Bhimann Inn):
Nakorn Pink (off Samsen Rd. - their web site is gone so don't know what is happening there)
Lamphu House
Mango Lagoon
Erawan House
Nana Plaza Inn
Top Inn
Center Point Plaza
My only requirement is private bath and air is preferrred...
Any experiences?
Also anyone had any experiences with getting tattoos in the area. I want to try to get a tattoo of Kwan Yin on my back and maybe St. Bridget and St. Alban as well....
And if anyone is going to be there in December would be glad to have a bottle of Chang beer together...
I think these are good links. :) I went there a couple of years ago, and am back now but to live in Bangkok. I am living in Bangplad, but still take the ferry three stops doen the river to Phra Arthit pier and hop over....
