Where To Go in Bangkok (Travelling with 7years old Daughter)

Could you please advise me,safe trips about where to go n stay, in this area? Safe transportation, safe and comfortable hotel with affordable price ? I am going to travel to Bangkok by July 16 and planing to spend 5 days in there.. I have tried to google all information, but as this would be my 1st time visiting this country, I am so confused about many things...
