The field study can be tailored to what you're studying at the time, so I'm not totally sure what the context will be yet. I'll know more once I apply for it. I'm looking forward to being back in SE Asia though, that's for sure.

Sorry John, was busy last two days. Well actually I am not in Kuala Lumpur where its nearer to BKK but in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysian part of Borneo. We are about 3 hours flying time from BKK(direct flight by air asia direct). If you are around next time, let me know and I show you around.
I have been to BKK many times and as always stayed around KhaoSan. Never bored coz there's alway something to do. First week November, me and some friends will again be in BKK and thinking of crossing the border to Cambodia by road. Any advice..?

hi John...the volunteer teacher thing was done as a partnership between a school in bangkok and a group of Canadian teachers that I was a part of. The school gave us meals and accommodations in return for 3 hours of fun teaching a day for three days a week. The school was also gracious enough to show us around by arranging tours of the city etc. but we managed to find Khao San Road on our own and loved spending time there.
